Through this article, I am going to tell you about a hotel which is certainly one of the best located on the Côte d'Azur, the hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze. Located in Èze Village, 25 minutes without a traffic jam from the city center of Nice, this 4* hotel offers one of the most splendid panoramas of the Mediterranean. A hotel to discover, whether for a stay, for lunch or for its spa and massage centre. I discovered this hotel as part of my birthday present from my darling which consisted of a massage followed by lunch and access to the spa. I say it immediately, a magnificent gift because this day was perfect. A few days before our departure on vacation, we already felt like we were on vacation.
Presentation of the hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze
This hotel has 4* but honestly, when I see some 4* hotels located in the center of Nice, I don't understand that the hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze belongs to the same category. I know, very specific criterias must be respected to have this or that star, but the difference in terms of reception, quality of services and benefits is very important. As soon as we get out of our car, we are amazed by the bird's eye view of the establishment on the sea.
Several rooms offer terraces with this view of the sea, which is simply splendid. I now dream of spending at least one night in this establishment and spending hours admiring the view over a coffee or a small glass of rosé (to be consumed in moderation) from the terrace of my room.
The establishment also has a magnificent outdoor infinity pool, enhanced by dark tiling. As well as a large outdoor living room, with this same view.
My opinion on lunch at Le Tillac restaurant at the hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze
The restaurant Le Tillac at the hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze offers Mediterranean bistro cuisine which extends the splendid view we have from our table on the sea. As we had a formula with access to the spa, we had a specific menu, lighter, but perfect! Concretely, we had the choice between two starters, two dishes (one of fish, one of meat). For dessert, we had only one proposal, but perfect given the heat, a panna cotta and its red fruit coulis. A dessert that I love.
The setting of the restaurant is magnificent, I could spend hours contemplating the view. In fact, we had barely arrived at the hotel and before our message, we decided to have a coffee to admire this view which, I must say, is one of the most beautiful on the Côte d'Azur.
Regarding the food, we were not disappointed at all. It was very good and very nicely presented. I had a rice salad with prawns as a starter and a fillet of trout as a main dish accompanied by quinoa with small vegetables and spinach sauce.
My opinion on the massage and the spa at the hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze
We started our day at the spa with a massage, just before lunch. We did a relaxing duo massage. The person who massages you asks you before starting the areas on which you want them to insist as well as the force of the pressure. As I was massaged by a man, which is rare, I asked for rather moderate pressure +.
The atmosphere of the room is very minimalist and perfectly soundproofed. This is an important point for me. The music was perfect, not too loud. I spent an exquisite hour of massage, I came out of it totally relaxed for lunch (even if a little nap before lunch would have been welcome, I came out of the massage so relaxed!).
After lunch, we spent our afternoon at the Les Terrasses d'Èze hotel spa, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. I will immediately give my opinion on this spa at the Les Terrasses d'Èze hotel: it is one of the most beautiful spas I have been to so far. The colors are beautiful and warm, the different spaces all have a particular atmosphere. It is very clean, like new, the quality and I would even say the luxury (even though we are in a 4 hotel) are there.
What I like a lot more about this spa at Les Terrasses d'Èze hotel is the size of the space, which is 500 m². Although it was crowded (we were there on a Saturday at the end of July when the hotel is full), I was not bothered by the people present and was able to take advantage of all the spa areas (except one, but that's okay). Concerning the spaces precisely, the hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze offers a complete circuit to guide you in relaxation. Here is what it is.
First, we enter the spa through the pool. A rather large swimming pool which includes a whirlpool, hydro-massage benches (which I sat on for a few minutes), waterfalls for the back in particular and a swimming area. Note that the water in the swimming pool (and other spaces, in particular the sensory showers) is purified and treated naturally without any chemical additives.
Then you begin your well-being and detox journey with the Tepidarium which produces gentle heat at 45°C with a humidity rate of 50%. You continue with the 2nd space, a bubble of vapor which with its 42°C of heat and its rate of humidity at 100% accentuates the sensation of heat and sweating. You continue your journey with the Bio Sauna, all in wood with large screens broadcasting a landscape of a heavenly beach. The sound of the sea surf is also present. Totally relaxing, this is my favorite part of this spa at Les Terrasses d'Èze hotel. If there had been fewer people, and so as not to monopolize the space, I would have taken a little nap there!
Then we end this journey with the traditional Finnish Sauna with a humidity rate of 20% and a heat of 90°C. This space is magnificent with its central lamp of green leds which goes down from the ceiling to the floor practically.
The hotel Les Terrasses d'Èze spa also offers other spaces such as sensory showers, an ice wall and a relaxation room with a wall of Himalayan salt. The spa also offers a terrace with a sea view, on which there are sun loungers.
